Working Visit of Dr Bernice Adiku Heloo, MP for Hohoe Constituency

*WORKING VISIT OF DR. BERNICE ADIKU HELOO; MP- HOHOE CONSTITUENCY*


Hon. Bernice Adiku Heloo, the MP of Hohoe paid a working visit to her constituency over the weekend, 9th of November, 2018.
Her visit took her to Alavanyo Deme Dzogbedzi basic school where she supported the queen mother, Mama Awanyo I who handed over 55 dual desks to the school and appealed for funds to improve the infrastructure in the school.
In a short speech by the MP, she recounted some developmental projects she helped to bring to the area, e.g. a six unit classroom block at Agome.
She promised to continue with her effort to provide a lasting peace and avert any further deaths as a result of the conflict in the area.
MP as a mother and a role model, adviced the pupils to take their studies seriously and ask the girls to avoid relationships that will only mislead them and focus on their goals in life.
The MP as part of her support, gave out of her benevolence two sets of desktop computers and fifty 50 story books for the school library. She also contributed one thousand Ghana cedis on behalf of the Hohoe constituency NDC to support the putting in place the needed infrastructure for the school.
She thanked the teachers for their dedication and encouraged them to do even more for the disadvantaged children.

On Saturday, 10th of November, 2018, the MP organized a training workshop for a cross section of her constituents on how to cultivate taro and how to market it.
She gave out over fifteen 15 seedlings of taro to each participant to go and cultivate. She promised to continue the technical support to the farmers.
This is one of the MP'S continues interventions to alleviate poverty among the youth, venerable and the marginalized.
In light of this, she has trained people in Snell rearing, poultry farming and how to produce charcoal from bamboo. These efforts are  generating and evidently transforming the lives of people who went through the training.
The participants were very happy and promised to do all they need to do and make the initiative a successful and lasting business.
