The Expensive Rhetoric Call RTI Bill

*Cost of RTI Bill is a Waste of Public Purse*

The NPP promised to protect the public purse but now doing the opposite.

The RTI which is a fundamental human right guaranteed by the country's 1992 constitution and recognized as a right under International Conventions on Human Rights was passed peacefully.

The estimated cost of 750million is nothing but an attempt to waste public purse.

The bill as drafted to  give the right to information subject to such qualifications and laws as are necessary for a democatic society like Ghana.

The bill passage will give right to citizens to further probe into dubious corruption scandals by the NPP and make information available for the special prosecutor Martin Amidu to start his work

Below are the heinous corruption Recorded only in 2018

*1. Oslo deal $12.21 million*
*2. Drones saga $ 12.5 million*
*3. Missing fertilizer worth $12 million*
*4. GPS app $2.5 million*
*5. Increased presidential staffers from 900 to 1400*
*7. Boakye Agyarko Bribery scandal*

*8. Diversion of premix fuel*
*9.Extortion of expatriates - Cash for Seat*

*15.Ghana Standards Authority Bribery $1.2 million*

Clearly, the NPP has nothing better to offer the good people of this country but have come to loot and share the public purse.

The special prosecutor has so far become useless dog since he has no meat to eat but barks always.

The special prosecutor can now start prosecuting the characters involved in the above scandals.

The citizens can now do their work lawfully without any intimidation from the perceived corrupt characters in the NPP administration.
